But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. With those words, the prophet Isaiah showed us our deep need for salvation, and spoke of the only Person, Jesus Christ, who could give it to us. Ron explores two key ideas from the book of Isaiah today, the depravity of man, and the deliverance of man, as he continues his teaching series, “Route 66: The Ultimate Road Trip Through the Bible.”
