What God Has Joined Together

Marriage is becoming less popular today. But why are fewer people saying, “I do,” and more questioning whether marriage even works? Some point to marital failures, the demands of monogamy, feminist philosophies, and male passivity as reasons for this cultural change.

But God still has a plan for your dream marriage. It’s not found in tradition or personal opinions about matrimony. You won’t find your dream marriage blowing in the ever-shifting winds of the world; it starts in Genesis, the book of beginnings.

From the Garden of Eden to the gospel of Jesus Christ, biblical marriage is a mysterious picture of Christ and His church (Ephesians 5). It’s also a sacred covenant that should not be easily broken. What God has joined together, let no man separate, still applies.
