Warfare in the Heavenly Realms

It is no surprise that the powers of darkness gave rise as the gospel gained ground through the ministry of the early church. Yes, warfare of a spiritual nature happens everyday in the heavenly realms.

The world, the flesh, and the devil are the real enemies of the soul and of the gospel. My mate is not my enemy. My pastor, deacon, or elder are not my enemy. My neighbor is certainly not my enemy.  

As Paul writes to the Ephesians, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Ephesians 6:12).
