Voice of Authority

“His voice was like the roar of many waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword” (Revelation 1:15-16). 

 

I have never been to Niagara Falls but I am told the sound and vibration of the water makes your heart race faster. The roar of the waves is so loud it drowns out all other voices. The sound of Jesus’s voice must have done the same to John’s. It certainly made him turn around and take notice. 

 

John heard the voice of God, the voice of all authority. There are many voices throughout all segments of society clamoring to be heard. Are you listening to God’s voice above all others?
