Picture a tree next to a flowing river—tall, strong, deep roots, blooming leaves, fresh fruit. Do you see it clearly? Can you smell it? It’s the picture of prosperity. It’s also an image of the blessed life found in the pages of Scripture.

The Bible says the person that delights in the law of the Lord is “like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers” (Psalm 1:3).

Do you find joy and pleasure in the word of God? Are you meditating on it day and night? Are you a tree planted by streams of living water, or a tumbleweed?
