Treasuring Wisdom · Something Good Radio

Imagine one-eyed pirates sailing the seven seas in search of buried treasure and treasure hunters diving deep into the ocean to find a pearl of great price. Or consider the effort it takes to dig for gold, silver, or diamonds buried deep in the earth.

The gaining of wisdom requires the same effort. Wisdom from above is something you have to want so badly that you’re willing to dig for it! Solomon says as much to his son.

“My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you . . . if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God” (Proverbs 2:1-5)
