Inside the holy place of the Old Testament tabernacle is a small table made of pure gold with twelve loaves of bread in two stacks. On the Sabbath, the priest enters this worship space and eats from the Lord’s food portion (Exodus 25:23-30).

This part of the tabernacle is a picture of our fellowship with Jesus, of His sufferings, and of the way He satisfies every portion of our life. Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger” (John 8:35).

What are you eating to satisfy your deepest spiritual hunger? If it isn’t the bread of life, hunger will attack you like an angry bear. So come to the table today and feed on Jesus.
