In First Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul skillfully writes about Lord’s coming to encourage the believers who grieved over their dead loved ones. “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope” (1 Thessalonians 4:13).

Paul goes on to speak of an event in prophecy known as the Rapture of the Church, when Jesus Christ returns for His bride and “the dead in Christ shall rise first” (1 Thessalonians 4:1-18). Seven years later, after much tribulation on earth, He comes withHis bride to fight the Battle of Armageddon and win.

Don’t lose hope. Instead, the Bible says, “Encourage one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:18).
