The Mystery of Christ in You

“To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). Everybody loves a good mystery. But what is this mystery of Christ in you? 

 

For starters, it points to the permanent indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the fulfillment of God’s promise to restore all things, and the future resurrection of believers to eternal life. Add in your future heavenly inheritance plus the wisdom of Christ and you have solved the mystery of Christ in you.

 

“The secret is simply this: Christ in you! Yes, Christ in you bringing with him the hope of all glorious things to come” (Colossians 1:27 Phillips).
