The God of Second Chances

Life is full of lost opportunities and painful regret. Have you tried something and failed? Do you need a second chance today? 

 

In tennis, you get a second chance to serve the ball. In basketball, you get a second chance to make a shot called a free throw. In football, the offense gets a second, third, and fourth chance to make a first down. But in the game of life, you don’t always get a second chance.

 

There’s good news! Jesus is the God of second chances. Peter received a second chance to follow Jesus (John 21:1-25). And the Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”(2 Corinthians 5:17)
