The Dwelling Place of God

The apostle John describes Jesus’s arrival to this earth by saying, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14). Flashback to the time when God dwelled with His people in a crudely built facility called the tabernacle. It was His plan for how sinful man hangs out with a holy God. 

 

And then, fast forward to the end of the age and read these words regarding the new heaven and earth, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man” (Revelation 21:3). 

 

God has always wanted to dwell with those He created in His image. Newsflash! God wants to hang out with you. He made that possible through His Son Jesus Christ who died on the cross for you.
