The Butterfly Effect

One of the most dazzling displays of God’s creative genius is the transformation that takes place when a caterpillar turns into a beautiful butterfly. If you are smarter than a fifth grader, then you probably remember the four stages of the butterfly life cycle that you learned in science class. 

 

Scientists often describe this change in nature by using the word “metamorphosis.” The Bible uses the same word to describe the transformed worshipper. “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2). 

 

As a transformed worshipper, don’t let the world squeeze you into its own mold. Instead, renew your mind with God’s word and experience the butterfly effect.
