RSVP God's Invitation
Emily Post is the name synonymous with proper etiquette. An invitation to a wedding, a dinner party, shower or gala event comes with some important obligations, including a timely response.
RSVP comes from a French phrase that means, “Please reply.” The little code has been around for a long time as a way of letting the host know you will attend.
The Bible’s last chapter in the Revelation of Jesus Christ ends with an invitation from God. “The Spirit and the Bride say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who hears say, ‘Come.’ And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price” (Revelation 22:17). Have you RSVP’d God’s invitation?
