Right with God

"Unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven" (Matthew 5:20). With these words, Jesus launched a truth missile across the bow of the religious elite. He exploded any notion that keeping tedious, man-made rules makes someone right with God.

God's righteous standard has nothing to do with the proud, legalistic, and controlling ways of people who have more in common with spiritual nitpickers than Jesus.

Are you right with God? Are you ready to leave behind phony religion and embrace the righteousness of Christ by faith? The doors of the kingdom of heaven swing wide open to those who are.
