“My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent” (Proverbs 1:10). Those are wise words from a father to his son, because every child needs to learn how to choose friends wisely and avoid pressure from his peers. It’s actually one of the first lessons in the art of skillful living we all must learn and practice throughout our lives. 

 

Peer pressure appears in the adolescent years, runs amuck in the teenage years, and lingers into the young adult years. If we do not mature in godly wisdom and apply divine guidance for our everyday life, we are likely to become a slave to peer pressure for life.
