Ananias and Sapphira. Two notorious names in the early church, and a reminder of a good deed gone bad.

Like Barnabas, Ananias and Sapphira sold personal property, giving the proceeds to the Lord and to serve the ministry of the church. However, unlike Mr. Encouragement, the married couple lied about the transaction and the amount they gave. When the apostles caught wind of it, Peter rebuked them saying, “Why have you contrived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God” (Acts 5:1-11).

When two liars in the church fell dead in the sanctuary, the Bible says, “Great fear came upon the whole church.” Indeed, a powerful lesson in money, lies, and the fear of God.

Clarence Rainwater says:
Money can definitely stir up a lot of emotions, especially when fear or mistrust get involved. Reading this really made me think about how important it is to have dependable ways to handle cash without added stress. I’ve used Western Union a few times to send money quickly, and when I had some questions, this site helped me get clear answers https://western-union.pissedconsumer.com/customer-service.html It’s reassuring to know there’s a place where people share their real experiences with cash services, especially when dealing with something as sensitive as money. Makes things feel a bit easier to manage.
