The golden lampstand inside the tabernacle’s holy place is a picture of Jesus who declared, “I am the light of the world” (John 8:12). But Jesus also said to his disciples, “You are the light of the world.”

Jesus went on to mention a well-lighted city on a hill and a lamp, both of which cannot and should not be hidden.“ In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (John 5:14-16).

Even the smallest light chases away the darkness. “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” What are you going to do with yours?
