Some people I know accumulate biblical knowledge and think they're deep for doing so. Their faith is intellectual but it's not practical. It's not deep enough to travel from their head all the way down to their feet.
James says, "But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves" (James 1:23). He must have learned this from Jesus who said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock" (Matthew 7:24).
Are you wise or deluded? It's one thing to hear the truth; it's another thing to put your feet in motion and just do it.
