Old Testament Messianic prophecies like the one found in Amos 9:13 often use wine and vineyard imagery to describe the glorious day when the Anointed One arrives. They link to the miracle Jesus performed at a wedding in Cana of Galilee where, like a Messianic wine maker, He turned water into wine.

The wedding miracle was much more than just another event on Jesus’s social calendar. It fulfilled Messianic prophesies, announced that the kingdom of God had arrived, and was a foreshadowing of things to come (John 2:1-11).

Jesus never did anything without intention and purpose. He came to this earth from heaven to do His Father’s will by going to the cross and paying the price for our redemption.
