The Greek word koinonia means fellowship, sharing in common, and communion. The word appears twenty times in the New Testament, including three times in the opening verses of First John. For example,

If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. (1 John 1:6-7).

Do you have a close, intimate relationship with Jesus? Are you walking in the light and in obedience to His commands? Are you experiencing koinonia with God and others in the body of Christ?
