In his first letter to the Corinthians, the apostle Paul reminds the church that some of them were among the sexually immoral, the idolaters, the adulterers, and the men who practice homosexuality. “And such were some of you,” he writes with courage and boldness (1 Corinthians 6:9-11).

Before we pile on our condemnation of homosexuals and transgender people, it would be good for us to remember thatwe are all sexual sinners. Not one of us is unaffected by corrupted sexual desires.

The Bible goes on to say, “But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” Those are words of hope for sexual sinners.
