What comes to your mind when you hear the word holy?It might conjure up images of sacred places, super-spiritual people and strange practices. It might make you feel guilty, reminding you of a standard you cannot achieve on your own.

Is personal holiness even practical in a fallen world? Because the Holy Spirit of God lives inside all true followers of Jesus, pursuing personal holiness is not only practical but anticipated in the Christian life.

We'll never achieve perfection in this life. But with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can begin living out these words from Scripture, "Be holy," the Lord says, "because I am holy" (1 Peter 1:15).
