Grit for the Tough Times

Nehemiah modeled persistence in the face of great opposition, which is necessary when building a better life. Do you have enough grit to get through the tough times?

 

Three vision vandals named Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem schemed and plotted against the Jews day and night. The did everything they could to thwart Nehemiah’s plans to rebuild the wall of Jerusalem.

 

As believers in Jesus Christ, our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). The world, the flesh, and the devil work against us every day as we build a better life with God’s help. Thus, we must put on the whole armor of God as we do His work.
