God Owns Everything

“The earth is the Lords and everything in it; the world, and all who live in it” (Psalm 24:1). 

 

“The silver and gold is mine,” declares the Lord Almighty (Haggai 2:8).

 

The God of the Bible also says, “Who has a claim that I must pay? Everything under heaven belongs to me” (Job 41:11).

 

These Bible verses remind us that God owns everything. Is that a difficult truth for you to embrace? Is your favorite word “mine”? Do you possess an ownership or stewardship worldview when it comes to money? 

 

All of life is a sacred trust, including the time, talent, and treasure has God entrusted to you. Even your life is not your own (Jeremiah 10:23). That means every financial decision is also a spiritual decision.
