A little horn makes a big noise. Isn’t that the way it always is? Who is the “little horn” of Daniel chapter 8?

Four hundred years preceded the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem without a single word from a prophet of God. The silent years between the Old and New Testaments were hard for God’s people, especially when Antiochus IV Epiphanes reigned over Greece for eleven terror-filled years.

From writings outside of the cannon of Scripture know as the Apocrypha, we learn how Antiochus IV Epiphanes spewed anti-Semitic hatred from 175 to 164 BC like the world had rarely seen up to that point, foreshadowing a world ruler known as the Antichrist who will do the same, even worse, at the end of the age.
