Magicians earn their living deceiving people using sleight of hand tricks. With an abracadabra and a now-you-see-it-now-you-don’t, rabbits disappear, handkerchiefs change color, and the queen of hearts moves to the top of the deck.

Far worse than a magician that tricks you is a false religious leader that deceives you. As the end of the age draws near, Jesus said, “False christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect” (Matthew 24:24).

The best defense against a great deception is a strong dose of the truth. The truth will set you free. It will also protect you from the one who deceives.

Along with clarity of mind, visual design can also influence how we perceive truth and trust, even when it comes to choosing a color for a scarf. For anyone interested in using colors that evoke warmth and honesty in their work, I highly recommend checking out Skylum’s burnt orange color palette. It’s a beautiful, earthy shade that can add depth and sincerity to any image. Check it out here: Skylum’s Burnt Orange palette for a fresh take on your visual projects!
