“If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me” (Mark 8:34). This is how Jesus described life as one of His disciples. Are you ready to sign up?

The crucified life requires self-denial, surrendering to the will of God, sacrifice, and suffering. Jesus never said following Him was easy, but it’s better than a selfish, self-indulgent life that leads to misery and destruction.

The apostle Paul testified, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).
