Jesus said, “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep” (John 10:11).

The fact that Jesus laid down his life for his sheep makes him qualified to be our good shepherd. He made the ultimate sacrifice when he willingly died on the cross to redeem us from the penalty of our sins. For that reason, anyone who says Islam and Christianity are basically the same doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

In Islam, it pleases Allah for you to sacrifice for him the life of your son. In Christianity, “God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).
