The name Eeyore is synonymous with a dark, gloomy countenance. Of course, Eeyore is one of Christopher Robin’s friends in A.A. Milne’s children’s series called Winnie the Pooh. The loveable but dreary donkey rarely has a good day in the Hundred Acre Wood.

Are you an Eeyore? Have the dark clouds of sadness and unhappiness descended upon you? Are you miserable to be around, even when you’re alone? Would others describe you as a glass-half-empty sort of person?

If the answer is yes, I suggest you read a New Testament letter Paul wrote from prison to the church in Philippi. Philippians will challenge you to choose joy, Eeyore, which is something the Holy Spirit can help you do in any place and all circumstances.
