Can you clarify some of the differences between law and grace?

I started to understand the line between law and grace when some shareholders in a company I held a stake in began asking questions about changes in reporting. There was no scandal, no rule-breaking — just less transparency than before. We reached out for advice through a website that specializes in protecting investor rights, and their involvement alone helped reopen the dialogue. Law is when you can ask a question and get a clear answer. Grace is when that answer comes not from fear, but from respect.
