A few days before Jesus went to the cross to pay the penalty for our sin, He sat with four of His disciples on the Mount of Olives and answered their questions, including, “What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3). Are you leaning in like Peter, James, John, and Andrew were?

Jesus responded by talking about signs that would come upon the world like a mother’s birth pangs as we get closer to the end. Those signs include false Christs, wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, persecution, apostasy, lawlessness, and the worldwide preaching of the gospel (Matthew 24:4-14).

How should we respond to such signs? Follow the evidence, act with assurance, and run with endurance until He comes.
