Are Angels Really Watching Over Us?

According to a recent poll conducted by the Associated Press, seventy-seven percent of adults believe angels are real, including four in ten people who never attend religious services. Trends also show that the more secularized American culture becomes, belief in beings like angels is paradoxically on the rise.

 

However, revelation not speculation leads us to a true understanding of these heavenly beings. In other words, what God has revealed about angels in the Bible is fascinating enough.

 

Do the angels of heaven really watch over us? Are they sent to protect us, even fight for us when necessary? When Peter was thrown in prison, the angel of the Lord rescued him from certain death (Acts 12).
