I once was lost but now I’m found, was blind but now I see.

A former slave trader named John Newton, also once known as “The Great Blasphemer,” wrote those lyrics to his now famous hymn called Amazing Grace. Only the grace of God could redeem a man like Newton from the depths of his spiritual blindness.

Jesus met a man who was born blind and healed his condition as a way of illustrating our own spiritual blindness. The man who had spent his life in darkness testified, “One thing I do know, that though I was blind, now I see” (John 9:25).

Is that your testimony? Has Jesus transformed your life from darkness to His glorious light?
