I made this visit to the Via Dolorosa, the route that Jesus took as he carried his cross through the old city of Jerusalem to Calvary where he was crucified. In Latin, Via Dolorosa means "the way of the sorrows."

I have really enjoyed your use of footage from our trip to Israel! Being there brings out a whole additional dimension to the biblical text. Hearing the sounds of the Via Dolorosa and seeing the people who walk by should give everyone a sense of what a busy place it was, with people from all parts of the world and all walks of life. I wonder what those first century people thought as they watched Jesus struggle down the street...
