“When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea, got into a boat, and started across the sea to Capernaum.” Cue the somber music. “It was now dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.” Are you starting to feel that something bad is about to happen?

The apostle John goes on to describe how a fierce storm arose on the Sea of Galilee pouring fear into the hearts of twelve men who were weary after rowing four miles against the wind. Where is Jesus? Suddenly He appears to them, walking on the water.

Are you in a storm? Here’s what you do. Fear not, get out of the boat, start walking, and keep your eyes on Jesus (John 6:16-21; Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41).
