The Patience of Faith

Waiting patiently for the Lord when you’re in a pit is never easy. It makes me want to scream, “Lord, get me out of this slimy pit!” But in the pit we learn the patience of faith and how to cry out to God for his timely help. 

Are you in a pit? God will tune his ear to your heartfelt cry and lift you higher. And when he does, share your story of deliverance as an encouragement to others, as king David did when he said,

“I have not hidden your deliverance within my heart; I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation; I have not concealed your steadfast love and your faithfulness from the great congregation” (Psalm 40:10).
