The Olivet Discourse is a body of teaching that contains Jesus’s answers to questions about the end of the age just days before He went to the cross (Matthew 24-25; Mark 13; Luke 22). This section of Scripture is also called the “Mini Apocalypse” for how it parallels Revelation 6-7 and the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

What does the Mini Apocalypse tell us about the end of the age? What signs did Jesus tells His disciples to look for before His Second Coming? Among the signs are false Christs, wars and rumors of wars, natural disasters, persecution, pestilences, apostasy, lawlessness, and the worldwide preaching of the gospel.

According to Jesus, “All these are but the beginning of the birth pangs,” increasing with frequency and intensity as we get closer to the end (Mathew 24:8).
