The Lawless One

Second Thessalonians 2 says, “The coming of the lawless one is by the activity of Satan with all power and false signs and wonders, and with all wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.”

 

Daniel 11 gives us a detailed picture of this same ruler who will arise at the end of the age to control the earth politically, financially, and religiously. Self-willed and arrogant, the Antichrist will make himself greater than any god and blaspheme the one true God.

 

While prospering for a limited time, he brings great devastation to the land of Israel and to the Jewish people. The Antichrist is doomed for sure by the return of Jesus who is the Christ.
