Grace is one of those words we use in everyday life. For example, we say grace at the dinner table before we partake of a meal. The financial industry applies a grace period to mortgage and insurance payments. Grace describes how a ballerina floats across the dance floor. Grace is also the name of a blue-eyed blonde.

Most importantly, the word grace has theological meaning. It describes what God is really like. He does not possess grace like a dancer; He is grace as much as He islove. God cannot act in any way other than by His grace. Even when God must implement His justice, He graciously offers time to repent.

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.
