The Church in One Accord

“And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles (Acts 2:42-47). 

 

These verses and the ones that follow in Acts chapter 2 provide us with a glimpse inside the early Christian church. They were a community of Jesus followers who passionately lived out their faith. The New Testament epistles expand on many of the activities spoken of in these verses and suggest they are essential aspects of a healthy Christian experience. 

 

Are you part of a vibrant community of Christ-followers called a local church? Do you experience authentic, biblical community in your everyday life?
