“Behold, I am coming like a thief!” Jesus says. “Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be exposed!” (Revelation 16:15)
Beware the thief who finds you naked! How’s that for an image pasted into your frontal lobe? The idea that Jesus will come again like a thief in the night is nothing new and notes the suddenness with which it will happen. But, why is the one blessed who keeps his clothes on?
Nakedness is a picture of spiritual carelessness. The spiritually alert person, on the other hand, stays awake and fully clothed, anticipating the arrival of the thief.
