The tree in my back yard had shallow roots. When hurricane Dorian blew through our coastal community for 12 hours, the winds pushed the tree over until the ball of roots popped out of the ground. The picture of that tree leaning sideways is a reminder that deeps roots are the best protection against hurricane force winds.

Is your faith in Jesus Christ deeply rooted? The deep roots of faith will steady you in trials, sustain you in difficult seasons, and nourish your spiritual growth.

In Paul’s letter to the Colossians, he takes them deep. “Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith” (Colossians 2:6-7).
