Failure, rejection, criticism, anxiety, trauma, and comparison are just some of the sources of deep insecurity that we all experience in life. Overconfidence might also be a sign that underneath all of the bravado you put on display is a weak and apprehensive person.

Moses’s insecurity was on full display when God called him at the burning bush. “Who am I?” is just one of the questions Moses asked. “They won’t listen to me” and “I am not a good speaker” were two more excuses he voiced. Finally, Moses said to God, “Send somebody else!” (Exodus 3-4)

The way to rebuild your confidence is by taking small steps of faith in God, even when your insecurities tell you to do otherwise.
