Put Your Hope in God

“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God” (Psalm 42:5-6)

The motions of the soul experienced by the Sons of Korah in Psalm 42 and 43 are like a wild and watery log ride at a Six Flags theme park. Are you ready to jump in and ride with them?

The emotional ups and downs, even a few splashes of water on our face, will help us find hope for our downcast soul by longing for God and leaning on His everlasting arms. Is your soul cast down today? Do what the Sons of Korah did. Recall His faithfulness, and put your hope in God.
