People of the Way

I have an app on my cell phone called Waze. It’s a GPS that helps me get from one place to another. Ask my wife and she will tell you that I am directionally challenged. I don’t know this way from that way. 

 

People like me need someone to show them the way. Better yet, take me by the hand and lead me there! That’s what Jesus does. He doesn’t just tell us the way; He isthe way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). 

 

That’s why the early followers of Jesus were called people of the way. 

(Acts 16:17; 18:25-26; 22:4). The Bible says, “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death” (Proverbs 14:12).
