Oxygen to the Soul

After his dramatic conversion to faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 9), Saul of Tarsus began his ministry in Damascus and the church continued to grow, even multiply. How did that happen? What is the secret to a growing church?

 

For starters, godly leaders who never quit. After that, faithful leaders that always encourage. In the early church, some people challenged the authenticity of Saul’s faith following his Damascus Road experience. That’s when an encourager named Barnabas came to Saul’s defense. God bless Barnabas!

 

Encouragement is like oxygen to the soul. What the church needed then and now are faithful leaders full of grace and encouragement. Who will you encourage today?
