Jesus Wept - Hosanna Series Excerpt from IBC on Vimeo.

While in Jerusalem, I stopped off at a beautiful chapel located on the western slope of the Mount of Olives that commemorates the time when Jesus wept over the holy city during his Palm Sunday ride on the back of a donkey. I encourage you to read Luke 22:41-44 before you watch this clip.

Ron Bashian says:
Reality is relational - a critical truth which I learned at the Capital Bible Seminary. Personal means that Jesus - as both human and divine person - wants a relationship with each of us, closer than any relationship we ever have experienced. To accept that saving relationship with him does not require intellectual proof but a PERSONAL ADMISSION of my total inadequcy and incompletentess without him. This then is the one critical relationship of life. The only failure in life is to not accept him as Lord and Savior.

Until the trip to Israel, I had skipped over this in the gospel accounts. After seeing Jerusalem, I can't help but believe that Jesus, seeing down the march of years to our present, might have been weeping over the current situation on Temple Mount, as well as the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.
