Psalm 85:9 says, “Surely his salvation is near to those who fear him, that glory may dwell in our land.” God is both far and near at the same time. Let’s talk about His nearness.

God came near at Christmas. He is Immanuel, God with us, and the Word became flesh and dwelled among us. God is also near when life hurts. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near the broken hearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” God is even near when we don’t want Him near. Good luck trying to push God away from you.

So draw near to God with a true heart in full assurance of faith, and He will draw near to you (Hebrews 10:22; James 4:8).
