Open a can of soda pop and you’ll hear that familiar sound. That’s when millions of carbon dioxide molecules burst out of their sweet, watery prisons where they have been held against their will. Soft drink manufacturers add this tingling froth by forcing carbon dioxide and water into your soda at high pressures.

In time, though, soda pop loses its fizz. So does a marriage, if you’re not careful. Is your marriage more like soda pop or fine wine? Unlike soda, wine gets better with age. Is your marriage fermenting into a beautiful, aromatic, and tasteful bouquet?

In the Song of Songs, Shulamith says of her husband king Solomon, “How beautiful and pleasant you are . . . like the best wine” (SOS 7:6-9).
